Suggestion for a new telemetry function was created by brerax
I have just installed Deviation v3.0.0 on my 12s. Right now I’m just familiarizing myself with the menus and the new functions.
When I came to the Telemetry monitor page I had an idea for a new function. How about two new buttons on this page? The first button would tare the altitude value so that the value is the height above ground and not the height above sea level.
The second button would be a memory function that saves the highest value on altitude and on speed. That way you could record the highest values during a flight without having to look at the screen during the flight.

1 TX to rule them all...

Excellent idea. I really could use the altitude tare function.
I am just getting started with Deviation at this point, but intend on getting a build environment setup, and the altitude "tare" function is what i was going to try and hack in first .. Also some timezone support, so the WK-GPS reported time would show proper.
Your second idea sounds great also.

My Walkera Telemetry is with GPS Data very exact.
Much more better than the GPS on Iphone4
Ok, Altitude not realy...
But, if a have a wish to come truth; and when anyone would make a better telemetry page:
Is there any chance to hold the last position on screen?
Because, when the plane falls down and the GPS send no more data, i could see nothing on the screen.
If i could see the last send position on the page i will find my plane much more better!
And there is no need to see aktually the Speed when i fly.
But MAX & MIN Scores after the flight are very good informations.
That are my wishes to a good telemetry page.

I believe telemetry screen retain last values on red background in case lost of telemetry signal.

Really great idea! Would be cool to know how high up you went and what is the top speed you traveled while flying.Hopefully wont be to hard to implement this into the firmware..

also the low speed is very interesting:
Dreaming Modus on:
"You fly the plane so slow plane till it stalls.
Now, after the fight you see the slowest speed, for Example: 26 km/h
Then you will set a stall-warning maybee at 30 km/h.
So the RX can warn you before it stalls.
In the next step maybee the Deviation can do that."
Dreaming Modus off.
Oh,oh my brain is wide.....

vlad_vy is correct. I can confirm I can see the last gps position in red after removing power to the model.
All good ideas!

Where should we dream if not here??Raimili wrote: Dreaming Modus on:
I have not so much experience with planes / none with gliders but I believe that stalling is an effect which is depending on the wind speed too, not the absolute speed in relation to the ground. Will this be valuable?"You fly the plane so slow plane till it stalls.

Hi rbe,
yes you are right.
You must note the windspeed.
But at landing it´s alway a little game.
You will fly slow as you can...
esp. Hotliners
Whith a little wind you can ignore the stall-warning a little bit longer.

I see an other problem:
the program cannot tell if you are actually flying, so when you are landing, and the model stops, it will still trying to remember that speed as the lowest...

Use a switch to "arm"/"enable" the new function after takeoff..
Flip the switch back when ready to land?

As seen in the pics I posted, there is a need to calibrate the 4 temp sensors also..
