Help. New LIPO Battery for Devo 12S was created by Dandan123
Hi I need some help with a new lipo for Devo 12S. That is my first topic, so sorry for the bad english. I have bought a Devo 12S yesterday and I did't receive the original battery pack (Lipo BT3000). It is difficult to find a spare BT3000 pack. I was imagine that I could use a different pack, maybe some with more than 3,7V and more than 3000. But I don't even know where is the positive and the negative in the control plug, anyone who has a Devo12S could check on the original battery where is the positive and the negative? What is the best pack for the Devo 12S. Is possible use a 2S pack?

I have found this pack below, but I need the size specifications of the original battery to know if it will fit the control. Thanks for the help.

Open the control unit and check from inside and you can see positive or negective.

I think you can buy a 2S pack and open it make 2 1S battery just to stay on the safe side.

Devo 12 is rather expensive to try and plug in higher voltage but I had plug 8.4v in my DEVO 7E no problem.

The link of hobby king show a battery with 1S with 5000mh. That is why I would rather use this. 2S could be a alternative, but just if anyone tried before. I don't have enough knowledge about electronics to know if I can use a 2S. Open a 2S pack are dangerous and I will need at least 2000mh to be useful. Thanks for the help. I will try to post a solution very soon. Thanks

Edit: Inferior plug is the Positive one. Now how to discover if 2S is capable?

How about just getting the original battery pack..it usually takes about 2 weeks to the uk no sure where you are based, but at least you'll be getting the real deal..

A 4.8v pack fully charged may be a little high. But if it does work make sure to never try to charge them with the devo12. I'm sure the charging circuit won't like it. :)

August 9th 2014: my Devo 12S battery arrived already!

The WK-BT3000 battery does still exist, I got mine from eHirobo.com today.
I have been looking for 2 months, I was wondering if anyone would ever get them back in stock.
