F12E RX1002 CC3D OK except no failsafe was created by jayessell
Howdy!
I have the Devo F12E and wanted the QAV250 I'm building to be compatible.
The frame/motors/ESCs/Flight controller kit I got uses the CC3D.
I purchased a RX1002 thinking I'd add features later and might need the extra channels.
Also... I thought I was tied to DSSS to use the F12E.
Binding OK!
All ok so far says OpenPilot... except... the connection doesn't go to FALSE when I turn off the transmitter. This means no emergency cutoff available. (GPS RTH coming later.)

Can't fly like that!

I see others have had this problem and resolved it.
Details please!

DEVO receivers all have the failsafe feature.
You can set a separate failsafe value for any channel on the channel config page...

If you use original Walkera firmware, you need setup failsafe in 'Fail Safe' menu. Select 'Fail Safe' option for channel and setup desired failsafe value.

When you say 'Walkera Firmware', what do you mean? In what device? The receiver? How do I access that? 'Select Failsafe' in what application? Open Pilot?

I did say I needed details.

Thanks!

First off, this forum is all about the 'Deviation' firmware. It is a replacement for Walkera's firmware on the transmitter to give the Tx more capabilities. It is in no way associated with Walkera.

FDR and vlad are talking about the transmitter. On a stock transmitter (one running Walkera's software and not Deviation), in the transmitter menu there is a fail-safe option (see page 44 of the F12E manual)

You don't need to do anything to the receiver
