DEVO7E RANGE MOD with conductive ink was created by beyondthesea
NOW, I got conductive pen in hand

Have to remove diode then draw line ??

You don't need to remove the diode, only bridge above the diode pads.
I advice to you to "scratch" a little bit the upper side of the solder points, to adhere better the conductive ink.
Also, you need to wait about 24 hours to dry the conductive ink.

You might want to temporarily apply tape all around to reduce the possibility of getting ink in undesirable places. Cleaning with alcohol beforehand might be helpful too.

Is there a way to get a hint somehow if the range mod is succesful? I had huge problems executing this mod. I haven't yet got any other birds than nrf24l01 based flyers. I'm waiting a dsm2 protocol lemon-rx and a 250 fpv racer. For now, I can only hope for the best and fear for the worst.

In my opinion, the only good test is a real test 
I have even a 7e module with the Power Amplifier stage dead, and you can see voltage battery fluctuations as should be when working fine. But the module is dead

Do a range test before and then after. You really ought to be doing range tests for every model as you add them anyway.
Bind the Tx to a model, then start walking away while moving something. Hopefully, something you can see! If you can't see it, then ask someone to watch the model, and wave at you when whatever you're moving stops moving. That tells you the range at which things will quit working.

Just finished some minutes ago a range mod for a buddy's Devo 7e.
We modified the hardware.ini file before bridge the diode (I think is a 10k resistor,not a diode).
With hardware.ini modified and without the diode bridge, we reach only about 15 cm using the range test option under Deviation firmware.
After we bridged the diode, we reach about 25 meters using the same "Range Test" option under Transmitter Menu.
We used an Orange R615X receiver in DSMX mode for this test.
Hope this info could be useful.

And what is it if you set 100 µW at the model section?
I never had 25m with a R615X at this stage.

With range test option active, should be 100uw.
BTW, at about 25 meters the R615X start to blink sometimes, not too much, but don't loose bind. I guess loose bind near 35-40 meters, but can't test now.
You got better or worse range?

Tested now with my 7e, not with my buddy's 7e, and I got about the same range in range test (100uw)

I never used "Rangetest", always set the 100uw. at the model section for the DSMX protocol.
What I can get for a solit connection is 12-13m( no flashing) and to have more range I have to use at least 300uw.
Some weeks ago I did a ground test to compaire to my CC2500 mod and gained around 330m at 100mW before the failsafe on the throttle channel kicked in.(used a servo to indicate this).

I took my measuring tape, and you are right, about 13-15 meters without any blink.
I'm very bad guessing distances
I will check outside as soon as possible, because just finished to install a new 7e CYRF module.
(Short history, my CYRF module dead, and a nice guy from Deviation forum sent me one he pull out from his 7e

BTW, my cc2500 and the cheap F802 (BG) reached this distance test on ...10mW.....

Someone on another forum measured the CC2500.. at 10mw, it actually outputs 88mw, so that's quite a lot (original frsky modules only output 60 mw, I think).

No further data but this, aside from the fact that the immersionrc RF meter was used via cable connection.

Just my input on making this mod.
Take some servo wire and strip it for few cm, then bend few (5) of the copper wires from the servo wire twist to thin bundle, but leave it to the long servo wire.
Tin the small bundle and solder to one side of the resistor, fold de bundle over the resistor solder it, while solder you can hold the cable in place, then when soldered, cut with small side cutter sticking out cable and the bridge is done.
