Devo 8s users please. was created by Birdman
I would like to know if anyone out there is using a devo 8s with latest deviation release.

Things are not right with my tx and i believe it is deviation not the tx itself.

If i could correspond with someone i may be able to determine what is going on.

TIA

Eg

In pic below there are no switches showing on right hand side of page, there should be?

When i reorder a channel the column on left should change to suit? If so this does not happen?

The tx servos work and follow mixers etc, just seems like some of the screens are not working correctly.

It looks like the what is described above is stopping me setting safety screen.
When i can get it to close with thr, ail goes to full deflection becouse of the conflict.

Guess i'm the only one. Increases the odds of it being deviation.

I can't fix it and i can't stay grounded. Sorry to "sound" impatient but i can't wait around in the hope that someone "might" help.

Time to get that Taranis.

Cheers

That is the strangest setup that I have ever seen, that may be the reason for the lack of response...

What mode are you using normally, and which one is set up on the TX?

Thanks for chiming in.

Mode2 and mode2 which is default.

It is not setup. A fresh unused model page has same issues.

I think it is because of upgrading to latest release. If it is deviation there is only a couple of people that can probably help.

I can put of ordering Taranis for 24hrs, but i reckon the devo8 is going in bin.

Time to move on to bigger and better things.

The reason I ask, if the TX is set to mode 2 and you're using the right protocol, there would be no reason to move throttle to another canal...

The channel names won't change when you move the channels, only their content will move.
Channel names are determined by the protocol...

Don't use the nightly build if you don't trust it: that is the version under development.
Use the v4.0.1, it's quite stable...

You could be on to something there. Protocol is DSM2 rx is Spectrum AR7000. But the rx is seeing aileron as ch1, ele2 thr3 rud4. JR Spectrum thr is ch1. It is the tx that determines ch order.

Is tx sending wrong ch order, if so why?

Blayd and Sero is on to it. I feel very much like a dumb ass. Been at it for days and did not pick up on that. When you select DSM2 you have to reorder channels to suit.

Thanks guys.

Next problem.

When devo splash screen closes toggle icons flash momentarily on screen as model loads?

Is this normal?

Bm

Not an issue that would stop me flying but don't remember this happening before upgrade.

I will try and explain toggle thing a bit better.

If a toggle is added to screen but no icon is selected, an icon flashes on screen in correct location. If an icon is selected but toggle is off a ? flashes on screen in that toggles location..
