Possible to "mix" down elevator with up throttle? was created by SLMcc
Hey all, I just got my first trainer plane. I had a very experienced pilot fly it and he said it really needs some down elevator mixed in the throttle above about 65% stick. Is this something Deviation can do? I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Maybe "mix" isn't the right term for what I want to do?

DonĀ“t trust him.
Test if Elevator - Wing - Dihedral is correct and /or the angle of thrust for
the engine.

I'd still like to know if this is possible with Deviation or if I'd need a new Tx.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Simply, yes.
With a mixercurve. Thrust > elevator.........
How much it would be, must be testet while flying.
Use the trimm at certain speed/throttle for that and remember the value.
Then setup a mixer.

With Deviation you do have one of the most powerful Tx software on your transmitter.
I would recommend to read deviationtx.com/forum/how-to/2987-how-to...-or-complex-template . Could be confusing but it's worth.
You could you also use virtual channels to perform this job but the simple way would be like that:

You could you also use virtual channels to perform this job but the simple way would be like that:
- Change ELE channel to Complex template (manual 8.2)
- Normally the origin setup will be used for page 1.
- Add a new mixer by adding a second page
- On page 2 Mux type to be 'add'.
- On page 2 source should be THR or !THR for reverse mixing
- On page 2 for the scale start with 5 percent.
- On page 2 apply an offset of e.g. 65
- If needed define a switch to make possible to switch off this mixer.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I've been using Deviation for awhile but just micro helis and I just grab a .INI from someone here. Setting up for an airplane is completely new and I doesn't seem many people here fly planes.
Edit: BTW, is "mix" the correct term for this? Thanks!

In my opinion 'compensation' would be more correct but I think everybody understood 'mix down'.
BTW: I do not fly heli
