Devo 8s for CC3D was created by notlkk
Has anyone done this? If so, could you share your settings and the Rx wiring? I'm trying to figure out if I can use my 8s for CC3D FC. I saw someone was able to use Devo 10 to hook up with CC3D so 8s should work, too.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could help.

What receiver are you using?

I did it with a Spektrum Sat. You will find any information of wiring here:

The transmitter is mostly irrelevant in this. The important point is finding a receiver that is compatible to any of the protocols the Devo can use (with or without an additional RF module), that outputs PPM or PWM.
Using a Spektrum satellite is rather complicated compared to that, because the bind procedure seems to be a bit tricky, and not all FC firmwares that could run on the cc3d are equally good at implementing it. A regular Spektrum receiver (or clone) would be no problem, though, and will work with an unmodified Devo8 (with deviation firmware, obviously).

I use
this
FC, as it is plug and bind with Spektrum satellites, as it provides the proper plug, and most important, 3.3 volt.

I'm thinking about using Walkera RX702. Would that work?

cc3d is still excellent flight controller, when you can flash it with betaflight 2.9 software and use betaflight configurator. It has good performance!. (much better than with openpilot/librepilot)
You can hook up spectrum satellite to the serial port of cc3d. Have to choose in the betaflight configurator that you use a spectrum satellite.
