Rename default channels? was created by schwarzsurfer

Hello,

is there a way to rename the default channels like RUD, THR, AIL, ELE and so on? I can rename the virtual channels, but I didn't find a way to do the same to the predefined channels...

Yes I also never understood that. why not be able to choose which channel to assign your rudder etc? If it was just ch nr 1-16 etc? Than in the model.ini, could define channel labels ?

Sounds like a good idea. I even would like to have a model type "car" or "boat" or just "standard" with channel 1-10 to assign them by myself.

We've aready disussed it a few times, and always came to the conclusion, that since the receiver channels are assigned the same way, it would only lead to even more questions and misunderstanding.
Aside from that it would be a lot of work too, because they are widely used across the whole code...
