Flysky Vario Support

I would like to use the Flysky/Turnigy Variometer to display and alert on my Altitude. There is an Alt option under the Telemetry settings but the Variometer does not seem to be detected and I get no values. When I bind the same receiver/sensor pairing to my Flysky i10 radio it works perfectly.
Is the module actually supported or is the Alt setting just a place holder for further development.
I have installed the latest nightly build.
Thanks

Sorry to ask again but I would really like to be able to utilise my Altitude sensor. Is there any chance of getting the Turnigy/Flysky CAT-01 sensor supported.
Link to Sensor
Or can someone tell me what the ALT telemetry field is for under the AFHDS-2A telemetry settings if not for an Altitude reading ?

Not sure this will work because couldn't find any hard data on the 4-byte telemetry value packet format. I assumed it's just an extension of the packet format that was already in place. Used the telemetry sensor definitions from here to add the new values.
There are two sensor definitions for a vario sensor: "CLIMB_RATE" and "VERTICAL_SPEED". May need some trial and error testing to get the code working.

is this here noticed Test Build ... 5284cc1 from 12.7.2019 included in Your Nightly Builds 408f8c0 from 23.1.2023?
With this I am using FlySky FS-CVT01 voltage sensor, but I have troubles with Altitude sensor FS-CAT01.
It is only blinking with red LED ... So I am looking for the solution and I found Your message about "telem_flysky" Test Build , but it is older then the Nightly Build ....
Which version is the right one?
Many many thanks in advance for your answer.

What transmitter do you have? Due to memory constraints the altitude telemetry is only available on txs that support extended telemetry.

I have Jumper T8SG V2 Plus ( Carbon version with normal LCD )
The Voltage works and RSSI also ...
If it can work on my Transmitter, I will test it and I will inform You about the result.
I hope I can do it till the mid of next week.
If there is no chance with my Tx, write it please now.
Have a nice day

I did these steps:
1) From the Tx i copied all files to the notebook.
2) I unzip the downloaded file from your Test build.
3) I errased all files from Tx
4) I copied the test files to the transmitter.
5) I copied to Tx my model file, which is using the Flysky receiver with telemetry.
5) I asked Windows to remove the drive and after confirmation I close the USB drive on the Tx and disconnect it from notebook.
When I started the Tx and bind it with Rx, I didn´t see any change in telemetry ...
To be sure, I am using AFHDS 2A protocol.
What is curious, looking About Deviation shows version -408f8c0 .... Is it OK?
Maybe I am making something wrong ....
Any advice is welcome
Thanks
Pavel

Copying the files is the second step of the installation process. First step is installing the firmware (the .dfu file). See the installation steps at this link .; You don't need to copy the files again, just install the .dfu firmware.

I did the upgrade twoo years ago last time and I didn´t remember the right way...
So now the Test build is installed and some simple tests are done.
In Telemetry monitor on position 2 there is the temperature shown, it works fast.
On position 6 there is shown the altitude, but this is not working well now.
I live 230 m above the sea level.
When the sensor was positioned outside, the temperature fall down to 4 degrees of Celsius and on position 6 was shown value - 5600m approx. ( Minus 5600m)
Moving the sensor inside the house, temperature changed to 19 degrees and altitude to Minus 8000 approx ( in reality the altitude was the same ), moving the sensor upstairs one level, the temperature changes to 23 degrees and altitude to Minus 8135 meters.
What I am missing is the possibility to set up the altitude to zero, to measure the height of the plane above the ground.
So this is first report )
Have a nice day

in 30 minutes without moving the sensor the value changed to minus 7953m, temperature is the same.

Is the temperature accurate? The numbers sound reasonable.
The information at the link is about the interface from the sensor to the rx, which is different from the over-the-air information.
I did spot a bug that would occur if more than one sensor was sent in a packet so that might be what's happening. Updated test build is available ( 908fa3a ).

The displayed data came from receiver ( RSSI and battery voltage ) and from altitude sensor ( temperature and altitude )
I am going to connect also the Voltage sensor, which I have, and we will see the influence.
Should I upgrade to the new Test build now and after the upgrade make the test with the connected second sensor, or it would be interesting for you to make the test with the old one Testbuild?
