It should be based on the "Heli/Standard GUI" template (heli_std.ini)...

Actually you can change it to advanced mode and even can change it back, but you cannot change a generic advanced model config into a standard one without resetting it.
A standard model config can always be changed to advanced...

You probably won't like the results though, because it will be unnecessarily complex...

The 7E is my only devo TX, and my first "real" programmable TX, so am a bit hesitant at wiping it and starting from scratch in an environment I am not familiar with, without any pre-built config (Super CP)

If so, is there anywhere for download without needing to build it? I've searched around and didn't come across anything that defined what the emulator is as such.

Download it from the nightly build section. also get the Devo10 filesystem, as you'll need that.
It is as you say a fully functional Windows interface to show you how the Tx will function. You can configure your models with it and transfer those configurations to your actual Tx as well. It is built from the same code, and should be visually identical to the real thing.

1 - I installed the deviation-devo7e-848e6ada8ca7.zip, through DfUse without a problem
2 - rebooted the Devo7e and a new drive appeared on my computer, so i formated it and loaded the filesystem files
3 - rebooted the Devo7e and i am greeted with a blank screen
4 - No difference if i try to reinstall the deviation firmware.
i think i messed up the filesystem files. Now i cant use the transmitter at all and i cant get into the transmitter's drive where I copied the files.
i also discovered that i cant rollback the firmware coz walkera doesnt have it on their site. Do i now have a cool new paper weight?
i know i've messed up but please note that this is my first post, so be kind.

You have to see a few directories (language, media, modelico, models, protocol, template, moduls) and the tx.ini file, plus the optional errors.txt file in the root of the USB drive.
You also need to copy the protocol (*.mod) files into the protocol directory...

1) install the dfu,
2) install the filesystem (Devo 10),
3) copy the 'protocol' directory to the Tx.
Possible you miss something?

It pops up automatically the 1sttime, but after that, you need to hold ENT during power-on to get it.

I don't know if this because of wrong .ini file, or something else.
When i'm flying sometimes heli losing connections and after 1 or 2 second restore the connection, its really annoying.
I just want to know if this my bad or bugs in soft.
Soft downloaded today from Nightly-Builds.
.ini files downloaded from another topic about nanocpx.
