Seba-Wan wrote: Hello guys,
I've read the all work, sincerely congratulations! But..
I want the maximum devo 7e range, so i don't understand the following things to reach the goal:

1- Short the diode. That's clear :)
2- I have to change the module (example for a7105? or only with the diode mod its enough?
3- Change the antenna?
4- I have to install deviation firmware mandatory? In that case, wich value(mw) is correct?
5-With all things and some ones you recommend me, how far can i go with the DEVO 7e?

Thanks!!

1. Absolutely.
2. Add the a7105 if you want FlySky support, see point 4 too.
3. No
4. I think the diode mod works for stock firmware as well. Deviation is just more powerful.
5. Depends on what you fly. Small models tend to become invisible at a certain point.

Devo 10 + 4in1
Spektrum Dx9
FrSky Taranis + TBS Crossfire

Or atleast rename the Devo10 one to Devo10+7E...

This looks like a good idea. File a ticket on bitbucket!

...just like the DEVO 6, which uses the filesystem of the DEVO 8.

Has anyone tested the official firmware from the Chinese part of the Walkera site? Main question being whether it's in English...

English. Just checking whether the firmware on the Chinese part of the site is in English or Chinese...

WTF? It's a serious legitimate question; I don't want to install a firmware that leaves me with an unusable TX, the only TX I have compatible with my Super CP!

Press protocol button (DSM2 or DSMX) and switch on telemetry. By default it disabled (for DSM2 and DSMX).

Its most likely in chinese. Just like my tx was when i got it.
But as you can change language in the menus it doesn't really matter.

Thanks Xermalk; so if the interface is in Chinese, you'd just have to remember the steps "ENT, third down, ENT, ENT" then hopefully you would see "English" written in English as a choice?

I have all my settings written down for the 7E version of Devotion, now that some sort of official firmware is available as a backup I'd like to try to make the jump to Deviation, but I would like to be able to revert if I want to have a fly and still haven't nutted out the Deviation settings; or more accurately, figured out how to drive the mixer system. While the EMU is helpful, until you physically try it with the bird then you don't know for sure if you've got everything right. Being my only Devo TX, and having only very limited time for experimentation, I may need to jump back and forth a few times before I get a useable setup.

By default they are assigned to work as trims for the sticks, but they could be assigned to be independent "analogue" inputs on their own too....

enlightened by FDR's quote ... think about it and it is an excellent idea.. However, the current release seems don't have any means to assign the trim button to any output channels.

One possible way is to employ 4 internal soft toggle switch that is to be turned on/off by a pair of associated Trim buttons.. and in the Mixer page to be able to assign to any output channels.
In this way, the tiny 7e would become a plain 12 channels transmitter (now is 8 after doing the two switch mod). Wouldn't it be wonderful ....?

You can:
Mixer, right, right, right, right and on 10 and 7e Model menu, Trims. Then change the input to a Ch or virtual Ch and decide step.
Than you can build any kind of curve setup. For example you can use it as a 1 off 2 or as a free dial nobb. Realy nice if you know you wont need to trim your heli on that stick input.

A pair of toggles found for a nice price:

Have you moded any builds for the switches yet?

yes I followed your setting and able to get an anologe switch with the Trim.. althought using it as a toggle switch is a bit not convenient.. anyway better than none...

the toggle switch should be ok for the switch mod..

I am currently not able to build a dfu..I am now using the version from suv and it worked flawlessly..

Is your tx volt meter stable? If so was it also stable with last build?

I use one of the trims for gyro with steps of 20. And am thinking of setting up a fmode like Compex whit 4modes two up and two down.
