Can anyone confirm if current nightly build for Devo7e is working correctly for them please?

I replaced Devo7e module with WK-21201RF module. Not sure if this has made any difference? I could bind with the early release (deviation-devo7e-b76ac7445568) so assuming it's a problem with the current nightly build.

Some Taiwan & China friends have same problem!
I think it's F/W bug,not from WK-21201RF module,please use early release deviation F/W.

Thanks for your reply! The latest release I can find that will let me bind is deviation-devo7e-ea9ee2c4a03d. But there is a problem with this as well with low contrast which can't be adjusted under LCD settings. Hopefully there will be an official release soon:)

If you feel you see an error in the actual build you should file a description at bitbucket to make sure that it will be corrected ( PBs issue tracker ).

Wasn't sure if this was a fault in the build so wanted to confirm if anyone else had problems. Have submitted issue on bitbucket now.

Same problem here. Doesn't bind.

Also, auto bind don't start on power on.

On the model page all protocols shows 'Re-init' button, no one shows 'Bind' button.

Previous F/W binds Ok.

The tx just arrive two days ago... no hw mods yet! :)

Has anyone successfully tried going back to the original firmware, now that it is available?

suvsuv identified the typo that was preventing binding. I have applied it and it will be in the next nightly.

Speaking of typos, the first post in this thread says: "Latest experimental build: 2012-01-22". I almost didn't read any further the first time I came here, thinking that development for 7E had stopped over a year ago. :)

Thanks a lot, suvsuv & PB!

It binds without problems now.

Just a question. I dont know if i made some mistake...
I'm using the vertical left trim button for adjust the giro on a SuperCP. I adjusted the min/max values on the channel 7 for 100 and -100, but using the trim i can adjust up to 300 or more (and -300 too)!

Maybe i need to do some other adjusment to get the giro in the limits of 100/-100?

Devo 7e RF power modification

With reference to the Diode bridge mod inside the Devo7e RF module and various tests done, I have compared the Devo8s at 150mW and the modified devo7e in a controlled environment. The results below indicate that the 7e mod does take the standard Devo7e to a fixed 150mW output. (please ignore the absolute value of the graphs, I did not use a calibrated antennae on the Spectrum Analiser)

www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...-work?start=240#6083
www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...-work?start=220#6151

From the attached spectrum graphs you can see the levels are virtually the same, testing was over a 5 meter range, using the standard TX antennas.

do you all recall that there was a time that the movement of the thottle stick would interfer with the Tx's battery voltage reading ?

I admit that I didn't realize the problem by that time beacuse I am flying in mode 1 and so I mistakely moving the right hand stick instead of the left hand stick which you mode 2 guys referred as thottle...

Not until today a very very bad news on my 7e... I was flying my WL911 and found that I was not able to cut the heli's power despite I have fully down my thottle... it was only later that I found not only the voltage reading but also the thottle (right hand stick) was interferred by the elevator (left hand stick).. it started to happened today.. it was fine for the past months and I fly everyday..

Refreshing with different fw versions and still get the same..and so my last move is to go back to the Walkera factory version 0.1 and got the same problem..

so it is not the deviation and the interferrence must came from hardware . I recalled PB has mentioned he must apply software filters on the analogue inputs in order to stabilised the samples input...

nevertheless, I will do my best to tackle the problem and hopefully, it is only an isolated hardware defect on my 7e ..

ps. the symptom is like a mixing is applied to the right vertical stick from the left vertical stick,.. and it happens about 50% of the time.. sometimes come, sometimes gone.. and it comes and go without needing a Tx power reset
