Just installed the 4in1 for DEVO 10 version on a brand new DEVO 10 with one of the latest nighty builds.

Unfortunatelly the lag on all my Cheerson CX-30 boards remains, although the 4in1 is supposed to have LNA for all modules. Maybe other boards are affected too, but i didn't check all of them yet.

I am using the YD717 protocol with Sky Wlkr option for the CX-30. Is there an update that solves this problem?

Please try the yd717_noack test build . Install it on top of a nightly build.

There's a pull request to make this change a protocol option, but still being discussed.

Do you have the new version 4n1 (I think the one with 13 pads on the radio board)?

I include a pic of what is was sent. I see 12 pads and one pad at the end that seems to be broken. Am i sent an old version although i purchased it only a month ago?

No, it's not soldered. It's new version 4in1 with 13 pads. I think the problem with nRF24L01 based protocols related to used chip, 4in1 most likely use nRF24L01 but not nRF24L01+.

Hi everyone.

I apologise in advance for asking help from you guys -- and gals :-) -- but I'm feeling a bit lost on all the 3-in-1 module-related threads here in the forum and in rcgroups.

Can someone please advise me if it's safe to buy the current 3-in-1 module available from Banggood?

I have one from the first batch but AFAIK they had range/telemetry issues on some protocols, and I end up not installing it on my Devo 7E.

I noticed there are a some issues with E010 but, apart from that, would you say the range/telemetry issues are now sorted out? Should I buy it now from Banggood? Or another source, maybe?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Thank you very much, it works perfectly. I don't know if there are side effects but for the time beeing it does solve the problem. We were having this problem with three different txs and solved it for all. Thank you.

The pull request has been merged so after tonight you should be able to use the nightly build. Set the protocol option to turn off auto acknowledge.

Likely the nrf device on the 4n1 is a clone. Can't find the link that specifically talks about the status bit problem, but there are links to the general issue here .

I received a 3.3V regulator today but must have done something wrong when adding it as I now have a dead Devo10. I guess the main board is a write-off and I don't think spares are available. :( :( :(

Luckily I have a Devo7e and I also received a new NRF24L01 board today so will try to mount that and see if I have any luck this time.

UPDATE: I probably toasted the 3.3V regulator on the main board of the Devo10. Does anyone know what component that might be? As a last effort to try and save it, I could remove the blown IC and power the board with the external regulator I have.

I got the new NRF24L01 board installed in the 7e and it works as it should. I can even bind to the E010 with more than 1mW power output :)

I have lost faith in the 3in1 board after this. I have 2, one of them never unpacked If anyone wants them they are yours for the cost of postage. No guarantee they work as intended of course.

I like the Devo 10 enough that I might buy a new one unless someone would recommend one of the other models?

If it is a 3.3V regulator, I don't see why you cannot replace it with the one you already have. It may not be pin to pin, but there is really only 3 pins to wire, input, ground and output.

If you are willing to post this to the UK then may I claim the 3 in 1 board please? I've been looking to do this mod for a little while now but was thinking of getting the 4 in 1 instead. However looking at the procedure to fit this I'm not sure I could manage to not screw it up.
Let me know? Many thanks,
Darryl

Hexfet,

I wonder if it is possible to have a test build to figure out what NRF device we have on board.

My troubleshooting skills aren't great but I can determine that no power is reaching the 5V regulator on the board. Can't figure out why though.

The battery goes through some cables and connectors to pick up charging. Then it should go to the power switch. Not sure if there are fuses on board too.

I haven't looked at the Devo 10 schematic, but I think it' has a soft power switch. When you turn it off it doesn't disconnect the battery from the circuits, it tells the MCU to back up any model changes and then power down most circuits, except for on/off switch monitoring. Often the voltage regulator is used to shut off the main power in circuits like these. Take another look at how the original power switch and voltage regulator were wired with this in mind and you may see why your new voltage regulator isn't working.

Don't know any easy way to distinguish between them. Would have to come up with tests that produce different results on different devices, and develop signatures. Doesn't seem worth the effort.

Taobao focus has shipped my 4in1! They sent a picture of the actual package coming to me after focus got it from taobao. Looks correct. But I don't see an antenna in the package. Can somebody who has ordered one from taobao focus confirm that it doesn't, and if not what antenna should i get for devo10 mostly what is the name of the antenna connector on the 4in1 chip? Or link to one, thanks!

4in1 has not antenna in the package. You can simply connect Devo10 antenna UFL connector to UFL connector at 4in1 board.

Very happy with my 4n1. Build quality is good and fit is perfect. Haven't had it to the field yet but around the house everything looks good. The way TaoBaoFocus packed it they could've launched it over with a cannon.

The nrf device does have the status bit problem - haven't yet checked if it doesn't work or just reversed. I can bind SymaX so It does support 250Kbps data rate.
