I had my first flight today.
The binding process was fine with an orange receiver from hobbyking.
I took the ini file from the first entry of the topic by Tom Z but i wasn't able to change the values that you were going modifying after the tests you all were doing.
The flight ended in a big crash because I lost the control. I had a lot of tail oscillations with the beginner blades, less with th factory ones. I think they were due to high vibrations for lack of compensation on the beginner blades.
Also I guess the gain gyro values were incorrect. Maybe I have to change the potentiometer values on the receiver board as well.
Also, I can't imagine the heli doing radical 3D because in stunt mode the power wasn't as high as I could see in some ALIGN videos. Maybe Tx config or also, the other potentiometer on the board had something to do with it.
I will wait any advice or comment until the spare parts arrive.
I hope better luck for you guys hehe.
cheers!

You also need to lower it in the cyclic but you do it in the Rx knobs.
You need to bring the gyro cycle sensitivity by moving the knob counterclockwise to a beginner position. The positions are clearly explain in the Trex 150 manual that you can download.

Also make sure your main gear is not warped or have any teeth missing or sheared.
The gyros are very sensitive to any vibrations.
I have the gyro gains on the "Mix" switch with 3 of the most common values used on the forums/internet. These are used for beginners, standard, and 3D fliers.
You can fine tune the gyro gain to your preference in the transmitter settings but first get rid of any vibrations.
Gyro gain for the Devo 8/10/12 are in Mixer, 5-Gear (Complex). Change the "Scale" value for the gyro gain.
If you are using the Devo 7e then the gyro gain will default to my 65% value due to the 7e doesn't have a "Mix" switch. Mixer, 5-Hold (Complex). Change the "Scale" value for the gyro gain.
You need to convert the gyro gain values. See my post here: deviationtx.com/forum/how-to/2620-conver...-to-deviation-values
"Scale" at the value of "30" is equal to the Align gyro gain of 65%.
"Important Note" on not having full power with the T-Rex 150.
ESC Settings
Functions
6. Li-Po Cell Count - Make sure to set this to "Auto". Do not use the "2S" setting. You will have an extreme power/headspeed loss using the "2S" setting.
For 3D I would use my 3D settings. They are more aggressive settings than the standard settings and they are the settings other 3D pilots are using.

Your explanations are so good.
I had, in fact, to pay attention to all the damage caused on the crash...The feathering shaft was also bent, and the head of one of its screws is damaged so it is not possible to take it out. Now I have a greater problem I didn't expect this machine was so delicate compared to a Super CP.
While I am waiting for the replacement parts I tried to set the ESC to auto detect.
I was doing it with the manual, but the ESC doesn't enter in setup mode following the steps there are on it. I didn't find any tutorial on the web so, how did you get it done? Well, this is not the important question for now, I don't need all the power until I get used to the heli hehe.
The thing is that a mistake with this small machine can cause lots of problems.
I wish you more luck flying it than me hehe.

Very Important! - DO NO SET LIPO COUNT TO 'AUTO
Instead use the '2s' setting or you will get massivley reduced power as per vids I posted early in this thread.

I took the info from your post and PM: deviationtx.com/forum/model-configs/2594...tings?start=60#21047
"With no other changes other than changing '2s' to 'auto' the heli is now flying as it should".
pg 28 C.SETTING PARAMETERS
li-po cell count default setting (black dot) is 2 CELL
Should be Auto detect
With ESC 2 CELL setting Heli will have no power. You must set ESC to Auto detect"
manuwind, your welcome. Hold off on the ESC Lipo setting for now until we figure this out.

I fitted a microheli frame in hopes of getting a stiffer well behaving heli but it is actually missing some screws and has a stripped screw hole. More waiting..

The manual says that you have to set a linear throttle curve on your Tx to enter in the setup mode. Is this necessary?

More than one month later the spare finally parts arrived.
I didn't make any change in my configuration and I noticed that the delay on the tail gyro response is quite appreciable. I will have to change the scale as Tom Z pretty well explained.
These days are being a little bit windy and I don' want more crashes at the moment.
How do you get along on windy days with this hell?, have you ever tried?
I recommend you to order an autorotation main gear to avoid teeth breaking.

Wow that took a long time to get your parts!
I don't have a T-Rex 150 yet but will get one asap.
I fly my helicopters (Mini CP, V120D02S V2, 4G6V2, Master CP, T-Rex 450 SE V2) in 10-15+ MPH winds. They can handle the wind and it gives me good experience
for taking off/flying/landing in the wind.

It was gusty today, and also the gains of the gyro are not well configured so even more difficult...as well as lack of practice for a long time.

Do you know what are the curve types in the esc config??
I have to keep configuring everything because I don't like how it flies at the moment.
If you can share your actual configuration I would appreciate it.
Also, how did you set the roll rate and the gain?

The thing with this heli compared to Super CP are the excessive prices of the spare parts.
Main gear teeth break very easily and it is not cheap at all.
This mini size helis are definitely a robbery.
