Hi, just now I've tested some ID scenarios.
the models with "none" at the Fixed id seams to work ok or lost signal rarely. Didn't noticed in the short, table test, I made.
but on the models with the fixed id set, I've noticed this:
ID-123456, give alot of glitches, but with ID-134562 or 134566, were unnoticeable glitches (again, in the short, heli-on-the-table, test I made).
hope it helps.

I modified kn protocol source code and create a new 7E version. It works very good for me now, no more disconnections.

6 channels are uesd:
ch1 to ch4: Throttle/pitch, Ail, Ele, Rud
ch5: Throttle hold
ch6: Flight mode: -100: 6G normal, 0: 3G normal, 100: 3G 3D

With the attached model file, which is for 7Es with two 3-position switches:
sw A: DR ranges: 50/75/100
sw B: Flight mode: 6G normal/3G normal/3D
Hold: Thr hold
Fmod: not used.

This model file also adds Ail mix for ruder. As much as -30% mixing is added to make my V977 do not shift while rotate. You can adjust the mix rate to fit your need.

For people do not have 3-pos switches, Fmod can be used to select two of the three options.

Not sure if I have the right or supposed to post over there.

If you can compile, here is the source file. It is compatible to the old one though change quite bit. I also have added lots of comments to help the understand of the operation of 24L01.

The mixer.c is also modified for better data integrity of control values to be sent out. See isues #594 for explanation.

Can someone explain the operation of V977 6-Axis mode trimming?

I do not have V977 stock controller, do not know how to do that. If knowing the principle, I can add the feature to 7E.

Why don't you submit a pull request so that your changes are integrated in the official Deviation?

And yes, you have a right and supposed to post anywhere on this forum as long as it's relevant - it's a collective project and it only benefits from good discussion.

I remember having this problem as well with the intermittent loss of signal way back several months ago when i first tried to setup my V977 on my freshly deviated 7E. I remember messing with the fixed ID until the problem went away completely and then i never looked back. but i just wanted to also confirm that i observed the same.

BTW i am using fixed id 111111 and iv been flying without problems for months. Iv range tested at my flying field until it is so far out that its just a spec and brought it back. I usually fly all out pushing for the fastest speeds and do loops and rolls and never had a glitch with that fixed ID. I dare not change it though.

I've looked at the code in the zip in this post .

It seems to address the same issue that was recently fixed by pull request 27 in the deviationtx repo. Definitely the same for the change to mixer.c. The protocol file is harder to compare because the differences are extensive, but I didn't spot any other functional differences.

The deviationtx fix will be in the next nightly build (one with a date after 02-11). If someone who is having issues would test it would help determine if the deviationtx code is also working well.

I have prepared the following modification of KN-protocol. I use jimqjp-repository , but modified the protocol for backwards compatibility. Now available trimmers! Available 11 channels:

1. Throttle/Pitch
2. Aileron
3. Elevator
4. Rudder
5. DR
6. Hold
7. Flight mode Norm/3D
8. 3D/6G
9. Pitch trimmer
10. Aileron trimmer
11. Elevator trimmer

For new V977-receiver ajustable pitch work. And "Hover Debugging" in 6G-mode work also.

I compiled firmware for Devo7E, Devo8s and Devo10. I used the deviation-team repository and adapted patch for this. For sample, this is my V977 configuration .

i had tested this guy old code for past month.there was absolutely no problems. the most robust KN protocol ever used. i hope the community can trust his provided code sites.google.com/site/mchelifiles/kn-patch-v2.zip
and integrate into deviation.

I'd be happy to code review and integrate it myself, if I had the rights for bitbucket/deviationtx repository.

@Babay, can you make a pull request against bitbucket.org/deviationtx/deviation ? Or you prefer I do it myself (in this case the credit in the development history would be mine ;-) ).
