Devo 7 screen blank

Hi everyone, not sure where to put this in the forum so i'm sorry if it's in the wrong place.

i could really use some help, i have a Devo 7 control and i got it today
And ive used about 2 times and it's worked fine and then just now i turned it on and there was no screen, it still functions fine but i dont have anything displaying on the screen just the backlight :'(


any help would be really appreciated.

Try putting it into USB mode and re-loading the filesystem.

I would but i dont have the usb to 3.5mm jack to update / plug it into my computer AND cause i cant see anything on the screen i dont know how to put it into usb mode

Devo 7 or Devo 7e?

Devo 7 can't be flashed to use Deviation.

Devo 7, i'm thinking of just flying with it until i can buy a devo 10.
everything still works fine and dandy until i need to change a setting on it haha, does the devo 10 bind with the genuis cp version 2?

Yes, the Devo 10 is a great radio.

This whole forum is for support of Deviation opensource firmware.

Which is supported for the Devo 6s, 7e, 8, 8s, 10, 12.

So many will not have any experience with the Devo 7 unfortunately.

Ahh my bad, that's awesome though. i think ill go the route of the devo 10 then thanks haha.

also i assume the LCD module in my devo 7 decided to seize existing

NOTE:
On the official release version 4.0.1, USB drive mode is activated from 3rd item on main menu like in the how to videos.

However, in the more recent monthly builds eg. v4.0.1-92e1705 (Aug 1 nightly), USB drive mode is activated by holding down ENT button while you power on the transmitter. This new method will apply to all future releases.

In case it's truly a Devo7 (I own one myself): blank screen is a hardware problem. Try pressing down EXT while powering on - the display must show -UPGRADE- (separated into two lines). In case it doesn't show up anything, you have a hardware problem. There's no config change on the Devo7 that can cause the display to fail.
