Tarot ZYX-S issue using satellite receiver

I can do a test in 7 Channel Mode with the ZYX later this week.
With the Orange 6+9Ch Receiver it seems there isnt this stuttering issue

So you did get the zyx-s to work with just a sat? I have been trying for a couple hours, binding sat with rx and with zyx, different number of channels in tx, all the different dsm2 options in the zyx, and have been having no luck at all. I'm using a spektrum ar6200's sat.

Edit: Finally got it to work, the secret seemed to be to use the Tarot software V3.0 rather than john_nz's software. It worked the first time I tried it with the Tarot software. With binding the sat to an external rx first, then putting it on the zyx, using the set button to boot the zyx past the yellow light, and setting dsm2-1 in software. Also it is using 6ch dsm2 in the tx.

Did anyone ever get it to bind in seven channel mode? In six channel mode gyro sense doesn't seem to work anymore. I can't figure out how to adjust tail gyro gain in this case.

Any suggestions?

The tarot is 3.5 I believe. Deviation is a nightly from about three weeks ago on Devo 10

I'm obviously missing something about the zyx-s. It works for people with dx6i which is only 6 channels, so its obviously capable of doing it.

Is anyone with a zyx-s able to control tail gyro gain from the transmitter?

Running ZYX-S(v4.01 mode=dsm2-1) with Orange sat(first bound with 6ch orange-rx 610) on my Align Trex 250Pro DFC.

In the ZYX-S software, do you see the tail gyro gain changing on the monitor page along with other controls?

Yes, on the setup page I see tail gain change when changing aux5 knob connected on ch5.
I use 6 channel dsm2 mode in the devo10.
I also use Mix1 switch for rate mode.

I have Deviation 3.0 installed on my Devo7E. Anybody knows if I install V4.0.1, Tarot ZYX with DSM2 satelite works with my Devo7E?

If it helps I could notget trex 150 working with dsm2 lemon sat until I updated v3 to v4. May help?

I dare not try a zyx with deviation yet as still learnig the ropes with this firmware and heli setups

Not that this helps much, as my heli is a long drive away right now. But I have a Trex250 with zyx-s and a spektrum satelite I'm in the tuning phase of building, and I had no troubles binding directly throught the zyx-s software.

That was with Deviation 3.0, things work fine under 4 too! I never knew there was trouble to be had with this combo. Don't give up it can work.
