Unless you have a logic analyzer, nothing at all.NotFastEnuf wrote: So 2801 protocol will not link to the 7 ch Rx? What about 2601 protocol? Is it not working at all? What can I do with my 2602 tx to help you?
Deviation will likely bind to the 7ch Rx, and some channels may work, but servos won't behave properly from my understanding.

Also if 8 ch is enough, I could always use the parallel port on the computer as a logic analyzer.

I love my Saleae Logic, and would strongly recommend it. They also give great customer service.
But on a budget, you might look here for similar models:
sigrok.org/wiki/Fx2lafw
I personally like the unlimited sample-size supported by theses 'streaming' type analyzers, but at least one other user had good luck with one of these:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/preorder-open-...-p-612.html?cPath=75
and even less expensive, this would likely also work:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/logic-shrimp-v...p-803.html?cPath=174
or even:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/bus-pirate-v3-...609.html?cPath=61_68
(regardless of choice, make sure you also get probe cables!)
With all that said, you can likely also choose to be patient. I won't be able to do much debug for another week anyway, and there are members with the necessary hardware to provide additional logs should they be necessary.

PhracturedBlue wrote: Well, I'll get one to add to my collection. Stil haven't figured out why 2601 protocol doesn't work though. It'll likely need to wait until I can actually experiment in person.
Because there is something is missing from both the documentation and implementation:
Ch1-4 are there, but only one bit is sent from Ch5 and Ch6 (which should be the pitch otherwise).
In the data package byte 5, 6, 7 are always null, however I think there should be something sent...

One possibility is that these are treated just like the lower 4 channels. It would be easy to wire them up and see what happens I suppose.

Included is a trial DFU that adds 7 channel support to the WK2601 protocol. It is completely untested and may not work at all, but I'd be interested in feedback with any 2601-only Receivers.
Note. you need the filesystem (not dfu) from here:

you can ask around, several folks have used the latest code with the new filesystem. It has some known issues (boot-loop on USB and telemetry page when exiting for instance) but overall is generally ok. Or you can wait another week when I am able to do proper testing myself.
The worst case is you need to go back to the official release.
