Dynam 7ch rx binds to 2602tx was created by NotFastEnuf
I have a dozen dynam 7ch receivers at home that all bind to my 2602 tx. All give me full range functionality and had thousands of flights over the last year with no problems. This could be great news to have a 14 dollar Rx for use in a fleet of park flyers. I have not gotten funds together to secure a devo yet but would appreciate anyone that could test deviation 2601 protocol on a dynam Rx and post the results. Maybe even 2801 protocol would make use of the 7th channel.

Thanks for everyone's efforts here!!!!!

Tell me where to obtain one of these Rx, and I'll try it out.

They both not compatible with 2801 protocol.

Well, I'll get one to add to my collection. Stil haven't figured out why 2601 protocol doesn't work though. It'll likely need to wait until I can actually experiment in person.

So 2801 protocol will not link to the 7 ch Rx? What about 2601 protocol? Is it not working at all? What can I do with my 2602 tx to help you?

Unless you have a logic analyzer, nothing at all.
Deviation will likely bind to the 7ch Rx, and some channels may work, but servos won't behave properly from my understanding.

Willing to invest in one if it would help the cause. How many channel would be necessary? I see some 8ch logic analyzers that are not too expensive.

Also if 8 ch is enough, I could always use the parallel port on the computer as a logic analyzer.

You'll need to be able to sample an SPI bus (4 channels) at 8MHz which I think rules out parallel-port solutions.

I love my Saleae Logic, and would strongly recommend it. They also give great customer service.
But on a budget, you might look here for similar models:
sigrok.org/wiki/Fx2lafw

I personally like the unlimited sample-size supported by theses 'streaming' type analyzers, but at least one other user had good luck with one of these:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/preorder-open-...-p-612.html?cPath=75
and even less expensive, this would likely also work:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/logic-shrimp-v...p-803.html?cPath=174
or even:
www.seeedstudio.com/depot/bus-pirate-v3-...609.html?cPath=61_68

(regardless of choice, make sure you also get probe cables!)

With all that said, you can likely also choose to be patient. I won't be able to do much debug for another week anyway, and there are members with the necessary hardware to provide additional logs should they be necessary.

Because there is something is missing from both the documentation and implementation:
Ch1-4 are there, but only one bit is sent from Ch5 and Ch6 (which should be the pitch otherwise).
In the data package byte 5, 6, 7 are always null, however I think there should be something sent...

That is because all of the logs I've seen show those bytes zeroed out. It doesn't mean they aren't used, but does mean they weren't used in the configurations I have captures of.
One possibility is that these are treated just like the lower 4 channels. It would be easy to wire them up and see what happens I suppose.

Ch7 used for gyro sensitivity adjustment. By rotating V1 knob.

so 3 zeroed bytes, 3 missing channels, seems like a safe bet this is where they are.
Included is a trial DFU that adds 7 channel support to the WK2601 protocol. It is completely untested and may not work at all, but I'd be interested in feedback with any 2601-only Receivers.

Note. you need the filesystem (not dfu) from here:

I will test the 7 Channel rx with the 2602tx tonight and report on which signal is mapped to which channel. I do not remember exactly what the configuration is above the basic 4 channels but something is strange about the channel assignments. I also have another Walkera branded 2608 RX that is much smaller - and channel assignments above the basic 4 on that are completely different than the 7ch. In fact, that one will not operate the gear channel at all from the 2602 TX if memory serves me correctly.

Tested the 7ch Rx tonight. Gear switch on the 2602 tx goes to ch 5 and gyro control goes to aux 2 which would appear to be ch 7. This is strange that nothing seems to map to ch 6. Will test the 6 ch Rx model 2608 tomorrow as it is buried inside a 3d pulama bipe. I think it had no channel slot that would operate on the gear switch with this Rx.

Concerned about the filesystem link posted above. It crashes the emulator when scrolling through the settings menu. Should I really try to dump it in the transmitter like this?

I did not release an emulator that is compatible with that filesystem I think.
you can ask around, several folks have used the latest code with the new filesystem. It has some known issues (boot-loop on USB and telemetry page when exiting for instance) but overall is generally ok. Or you can wait another week when I am able to do proper testing myself.

The worst case is you need to go back to the official release.
