No, every flash memory chip have to be supported by code. With "4MB" builds you don't need devo.fs file. You will have 4MB USB drive with FAT filesystem, the same way as with Devo 10.

At the end of the topic I place recent "4MB" builds:

Perfect! Thank you very much vlad_vy!
I purchased 2 pieces SST2SVF032B.
Do you know what original chip memory is present on the F4?

Video chip IA9211 OSD ROM character set has not some characters, such as "%", "+" and so on.
djtrance, can you test latest build with some adidtional corrections at "lcd.c"? If it's OK, I will place pull request with changes.

I installed on my F4 the latest Nightly Builds of 7 April.
I notice that I can not change in any way the "Fixed ID".
you can access the edit screen but then no change is possible.
This greatly limits the use of the transmitter.
I'm wrong, or missing some work on this?
Also I propose a different layout (n2 image) screen.
It seems much more rational and quick to use.
Thank you

With emulator it works. Do you erase (DEL) old Fixed ID before enter new? Fixed ID can't be longer than 6 digits.

Yes! It works!
it is necessary, first, to delete all the code in order to introduce the new values.
However, the navigation is very uncomfortable.
The code is 6 digits (top left).
The ten digits (which I propose on a single line) are for selection.
It works! I apologize for the inconvenience!
However it is very uncomfortable.
You may see only a six-digit code, (on one line) and press up or down to scroll the numbers from 0 to 9 and then confirm the number you want, on each of the six digits of the code ..
This is the most used interface.
However I think there are more important things to fix.

I will test it this night.
I found this data :
www.relmon.com/upload/0/20161115145910812.pdf
is the same chip. but in some places I found that say that we can use a custom chinnese character. maybe we can found how to set up a new character. but all the information there are in chinnesse.

In this discussion, some have installed additional switches to F4, proposing different solutions.
The filmware Deviation added channels to the F4?
If yes, such as potentiometers and switches must be mounted?
Thank you.

Excuse me
I think the channels and switches implemented in this firmware are as follows:
n4 channels
AIL
ELE
THR
RUD
n5 switches
HOLD0; HOLD1
FMODE0; FMODE1; FMODE2
MIX0; MIX1; MIX2
GEAR0; GEAR1
AIL DR0; AIL DR1
How they are made the wiring? and how to become active?
excuse me. I read the discussion but it is very distracting.
There has been talk of installing a Arduino etc.
There is a final document that explains all this?
Thank you

You can use an arduino for additional pots an switches like discussed on a thread where additional switches were added to a 7e this way. The Arduino is hooked up internally at the trainer port (because of that, you'll lose it). Epitaph traced a few additional switches and wired them like on the F7. It may happen that those non-stock switches disappear at a time if the Deviation version for F4 is more than a slightly modified F7 version. Because of that, I chose the Arduino version which is really good. There is also the possivility to add two 3way switches like at the 7e, I traces the places where you have to solder the switches with the diodes. Was around page 10 or something. It's necessary to have at least one hard wired switch in the F4 if you want to have kill switch (throttle hold), the arduino needs a second or two to initialize, meanwhile the copter could go full throttle
Time to create page: 0.799 seconds
