2.42" 128x64
62mm x 38.8mm from what I can gather
(so about the same size as a Devo10)
At £17.55 I don't think its that expensive for what it is...I'm sure they could be found for less with some more hunting
Regards
Rob

Alternatively the screen that 2hry showed in his pic a few posts ago looks to be about the right size also.

Have asked if they have a spec sheet and if it will run from 3.3v for power and signal
Will report back

They have sent a link to the specs
115.28.16.44:81/file/4269.rar
Quite a bit of bedtime reading!
(though I don't think it /all/ relates to this screen)
From the initial glance through some of the many files included - it /may/ require a 12v supply for operating voltage
(7v - 16v quoted in the DC characteristics section in one of the pdf's : SSD1309-Revision 1.1.pdf)
Possibly no good then :/

They are a bit more expensive than the generic sellers, but they have their own firmware that is very easy to program, and they have a very wide selection of displays.

Would you please compile me a Devo 7c version with modules enabled?
I built my rct board with very small display into an old transmitter, but it doesnt bind.

I can't seem to save any settngs yet - but assume it is because I'm running off the USB and not yet implemented the power supply (with the A2 and A3 circutry wired up)
I can change model names and protocols and mixers etc via the buttons, but any changes are not saved after a power cycle
Slowly edging towards a usable TX...

Keep going, silpstream posted a schematic for the softpower circuit.
My Progress so far
As i wrote earlier, I have bought a used walkera transmitter(cyrf module inside!!!!! you´ll need one or a 4in1), and also a uc1601 display.
The stm boards are getting cheaper and cheaper, so another rct6 board for 7 bucks was slowly getting to me.
The softpower circuit was built with through hole component i had lying around, with some experimenting (the transistors didn´t switch as they should)
I haven´t written down the exact values of the resistors, but if you like i´ll open it again and check (Transistors: BC547, BC558,Mosfet: IRF9540). Saving is OK, but the voltage is a bit off
I´ll have to redo the switches anyway, because I had problems with the 3 way switches. There were some changes for the ultimate7e, that are not linked in the wiki. And a voice module would be nice too.
dont judge the picture: the wiring is a mess, just like the first transmitter

How would we have anything to mod?
Deviation Devo7e 3way switch mod, A7105, NRF24L01
Devo6s 2x2 switch mod, trim mod, haptic, multimodule, A7105, NRF24L01, CC2500
Devo12e 4-in-1 with voice mod -- it speaks!!

Some small Deviation boards + display module, but in order to be a success it must be at market cheaply!
I hope there will be a charge via USB and run on 1s or 2s, lipo or lion and include the df player chip.

I cannot change anything written to flash memory (whilst booted into Deviation)
On my Devo 7e - (flashed deviation of course)
I can open a model, change its name and exit all the way out and it takes on the new name and any changes
DIY TX
STM32F103RC with the Winbond 25016DVSIG flash- it does not save any changes I make
I can read and write to the flash chip with enter held down at boot (from the boards USB port) , but switching to USB mode whilst booted up into deviation it does not show as a usable drive (I'm guessing I need to use GPIOA 11 and 12 tied to a USB socket for this to work ?)
Maybe I missed something obvious hardware wise?
Regards
Rob
