How should we call it to avoid the usual confusion?

Name suggestion: Devo F12e_XMS (for extended memory, like the old x86 CPUs had )

Just for sure I would like to test two changes, step by step. Step #1:
* Enable auto detection for flash memory chip (Microchip SST25VFxxxB and SST25VFxxxA, ISSI IS25CQxxx, Winbond W25QxxBV)
Will be nice to get any reports, if it work (or not work).

I like devof12e-xms (Extended Memory Specification) more than devof12e-fat (or devof12e-xxl)

Thank you Vlad for your work. I can help with testing - i have 2 F12E - one with a 4MB chip and one "original".
Please let uns know when your new thread is starting and i this Devof12E-XMS is good "code" for the new thread.

Just updated my F12E with an SST25VF032B to your "Step#1" firmware by using Deviation Uploader 0.8.0 with only "Install Library" option selected (or should a complete format be performed?).
It bootet with showing the correct Deviation firmware version, so I assume the chip detection worked?
A quick test showed also no problems connecting to a Frsky X8R receiver (EU LBT).

Only for your Information: the previous firmware which was on the F12E, was the one from you, dated 08-18. Maybe that "prepared" something for the update which is not present on a "fresh" installed storage chip?

Just for sure I would like to test two changes, step by step. Step #2:
* Enable full flash memory capacity for Devo F-4MB series transmitters. It will add 216KB to usable USB drive capacity.
WARNING!!!
If you have Deviation F-4MB already installed, this build destroy Tx filesystem, so you need:
1. Backup the whole USB filesystem to PC.
2. Flash firmware
3. Format USB drive
4. Restore filesystem
If you forget to backup filesystem and flashed firmware, don't worry, do not format USB drive, flash old firmware and backup filesystem.
Will be nice if anybody can test this build with original Devo F series transmitter. I think you will get/format tiny (about 36KB), unusable USB drive, but we will test flash memory detection for SST25VF512A chip.
