What do you have in mind? At present time you can use the "External OSD" page. At "Main page config" select "External OSD" page for "Menu 1" or other quick pages. At the main page you can call empty "External OSD" page by long press "DN" or "UP", and back to main page.

Yes saving is working, I tried binding DSMX it worked, changed model name is still present and calibrated sticks and changed mode. All things stay after switching of and back on.

well, we know that the LCD on the f7 can't show some of the symbols because of the video overlay chip (IA9211),
so the menus and the mixers are not the same,
I thought maybe there is a way to try to send the menus over a different chip (possibly like this guy did nootropicdesign.com/projectlab/2011/05/20/overlay-gps-on-video/ )

sound possible?

With Devo 7e we went for a bigger ARM with more space. Devo F7 ARM is the same as Devo 7e, am I right?

The test board based on Jumper T8SG is assembled. Tested flash memory chips: Macronix MX25L3205D, Adesto AT25DF321A and Winbond W25Q16BV (just in case).

So, now I can add to flash memory type auto detection: Microchip SST26VFxxxB, Macronix MX25Lxxxxx and Adesto AT25DFxx1A.

Pull request will be placed.

By the way, I can build "devo12-XMS" if anybody like to use it with easy accessible full filesystem (4MB) and without need to flash "devo12-lib.dfu" file. You will need replace the flash memory chip SST25VF016B to SST25VF032B or any other supported 32Mbit flash memory chip.

It's not tested at all. I can test it today with my Devo 12s and SST25VF032B chip. Probably it can be even backward compatible with Walkera firmware, if it will use SST25VF032B chip.

I need slightly change devo12 "lcd.c" to build it.
#ifdef MEDIA_DRIVE
    extern void PARFlash_Init();
#endif
and

#ifdef MEDIA_DRIVE
    PARFlash_Init();
#endif

Test build "devo12-XMS" based on nightly builds:

Tested Devo 12s with installed SST25VF032B flash memory chip:

1. New "devo12-XMS" firmware = OK, USB drive capacity = 4MB, but there is one drawback - when page changed the screen redraw is noticeably slower (devo12 background image "backgrnd.bmp" is quite big, and serial flash is a little slow for that).
2. Walkera v1.5A firmware = OK, transmitter settings can be saved, model settings can be saved.
3. Normal "devo12" firmware with library file "devo12-lib.dfu" flashed = OK, USB drive capacity = 2MB.

So, with SST25VF032B flash memory chip installed Devo 12s is compatible with ANY firmware.

Nice!
Probably we should play with a drawn background, or at least use a one pixel wide image and stretch that...

I think for devo12-XMS Nightly Builds I need more work, since I missed extended audio changes.
