You have to create 30 blank model.ini files, label them 31 to 60 and then paste them into the 'Model' folder. If you label them anything else it will not accept them.

Vlad - am I correct in understanding that I do not need to copy my configured model.ini files back after flashing the latest build? Also, no need to save and copy back the TX.ini and Hardware.ini? Previously flashing a new nightly build would wipe-out my models and I had to copy TX.ini and Hardware.ini back in order to preserve my Devo 7e hardware setup with the NRF and A7105 chips. Thanks!

You should always back up the TX file system before upgrading. Flashing new firmware should not destroy your config files. But that's also true for the 7e, so whatever is causing you to do that on the 7e may cause the same problem on the T8SG

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Vlad - I flashed your new T8SG build to my transmitter and promptly lost range with two different quads. They fell out of the sky at about 30-40 meters distance. I reverted to the 10/11/17 build and all is well. I copied over my tx.ini and hardware.ini files - don't know how that could have caused a problem other than stick calibration.

I don't know why it cood happened. Last builds change some protocols only. You don't need rewrite the filesystem, since it doesn't changed. You can flash the firmware file only.

If you write into the filesystem, safely remove USB drive before disconnect, otherwise files can be damaged.

Try flash the last build and do not touch filesystem.

It was the protocol for the JJRC X1 and Tarantula X6 - but I have done as Vlad suggested and just flashed the new firmware - will do a test fly and let you know what happens.

This is a great little radio. Only problem is I cannot get elevon mixing to work on it. If someone could please make me a template for a flying wing I would appreciate it...YES I KNOW, THERE IS A SEARCH BAR, none of the templates on this forum work I have literally downloaded them all. My channels are as follows 1 = Ail 2 = Ele 3= Thr 4 = Rud
I have watched videos on trying to make my own it simply doesn't work for me I'm certain it is something simple I'm missing. Thanks for your time ahead of time.

I just got one of these radios.it works great. i fly many planes from .15- 1.60 sized glow. i have about 6 flying delta wings...id love to fly them again, its just...well, i cant get the elevons to mix. its great that i can bind to any receiver i want, and sit in my basement and work my servos on whatever protocol I wish. We can only discuss something specific, psychics are not here. If you will attach or even better link to a specific template, we can look why it does not work for T8SG. Also will be nice if you report firmware version (stock or custom).

Specifically, how do you mix one channel with another? Devo or JUMPER.

Mixer with two pages: 1) Src=ELE, Scale=60, Mux=replace, 2) Src=RUD, Scale=60, Mux=add

A v-tail mix (actually, any fixed wing model type) requires the advanced mixer.

To mix two inputs together, use a complex mix type with at least two mixers. The first mixer should use one of the inputs as an input with a mux of replace, no switch, and whatever curve type you want.

The second should use the other input, mux of "add", a switch if desired, and again the curve type you want.

Set the scale on both as appropriate.

There have been a number of templates for various fixed wing types posted. You might see if you can find those in the forums.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Many thanks for that. As a matter of interest, I hope you guys aren't wasting your time but my JUMPER uses my Devo 7e model.ini files and everything works in the right direction. It also has the USB port accessible via the battery hatch.

"I got Elevons to work on the T8SG with this one simple trick!" ;)
Actually it took me a while but I did get it.

I am happy to share everything however I don't want to derail the builds thread too much,
so if you're up to posting in the T8SG thread in the Deviation forums or on RCgroups I'll follow up there.
