Thanks Moeder. I made an external box, speaker isn't very loud but it all works. I get a welcome message but no goodbye message, also get double binding message (I almost exclusively use Bayang protocol). Not really had a chance to explore it all but will point out any bugs for the Devo 7E

Moeder wrote: @pulpfiction15: thanks for your testing experience. Please try the build attached concerning startup message volume on your devo12.
@devo7e-users: Please find attached a devo7e build with voice enabled at the cost of loosing standard mixer GUI. Voice menu is only available in the emulator, which you can also find attached.

Hi,
Thanks very much for this great project !
I would like to do this on my Devo 12S, but if i understand well, i can't use the trainer port, i must solder into the radio, that is ok for me, i have already put a 3 in 1 module in my Devo 12S.
But the problem for me is, i don't understand where to solder TX pin of mp3 player on the Devo 12S....
Can you explain me where to solder it into my Devo ?
Can i solder on the GND and TX as on the photo ?
Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you very much for your answer !
I will try that , but before to do this, with version of deviation I must install on my Devo ?
Actually I've got devo12-v5.0.0-f9f36d5
Must I install the version of "Moeder" devo12-v5.0.0-voice ?

Hi,
So i have finally installed the last nightly build because on my 12s, the version of Moelder doesn't work, it's make my devo 12s crazy
With the last nightly build, i have modified all needed files, all works good, i haven't yet test the sound
I have only made the test on a breadboard, and not connect on the devo 12S, and all work well.
So now, i will open my devo 12S to connect the parts to GND and TX
I will give you news when i will made test.
Thanks for your help.

Hi again,
All is finished, all seems to work well
There is just a little problem on voices when say time remaining, i think there is not enough time between 2 mp3 files. It's certainly why, the speak seems to be incomplete
Thanks for your help

What language and which mp3 pack are you using? is it just a single mp3 that is bothering? A quick fix is just editing voice.ini and increase the number after the according mp3 file number.

Pour le moment non, tout est en volant pour les tests.
Je mettrais tout dans la radio ce week end normalement.
For the moment no, all is around the devo 12S during tests.
I will put all in the devo 12s normally this week end

May I ask whether there'll be more voices and alerts? It's a great feature

Just specific ones that I like. I'm more than happy to do them myself, if you have enough time to point me in the direction to do that? Alerts like "armed" "disarmed" "Land" "flips" "buzzer". Also a variety of voices would be nice, it's the great thing about Deviation, the customisation

I prefer the builtin command line tool "say" in Mac OS X, as it is handy and produces very nice voice in multiple language.
Checkout the script used to (currently) build the voice packs
