Lemon Rx 6 channel DSMP Receiver not binding to 7E

Category: Feedback & Questions

I recently bought a Lemon Rx 6 Channel DSMP (DSM2/DSMX) Receiver + Diversity Antenna to replace an old DSM receiver in a Gauge 1 Live steam locomotive but cannot bind in either dsm2 or dsmx protocol. I have read through the forum but could not find a solution, having tried binding with the Devo 7E 15ft away, with 4.0.1, 5.0.0 and the latest nightly build, tried selecting Orange option in protocol sub menu, removing fixed ID and changing channels to 6, but no success.
The Lemon Rx receiver binds fine with a Spektrum DX6i and an Eflite MLP4DSM DSM2 Tx.
An original Spektrum AR6210 with satellite receiver binds OK with the 7E in DSMX mode but in DSM2, both the flashing LED stops then flash slowly.
If I connect the AR6210 satellite to the Lemon Rx, the sat binds in DSMX mode but not the Lemon Rx, the led keeps flashing in binding mode.
I think I am resigned to the fact that this newer Lemon DSMP receiver will not bind successfully, but if others have experienced this problem and have found a solution I would be very interested to know ...

Thanks . Andy

I suppose if everything is bound and setup when you connect the module into the deviation radio then it should work using CRSF. I'm really hoping that the eLRS team adds support for the little screen & joystick on the Ghost TX which they are currently porting eLRS onto.

Jumper T8SG USB on Liftoff & Real Drone Simulator

Category: Tutorials

FYI, just bought realflight 9.5 from steam ($99), and after following advice found in the forums here managed to get it to work just fine via a normal usb cable... no dongle , no using an audio cable, no vJoy drivers. Tried on drone racing league simulator, works fine also. was a little tricky to initially connect, but found the protocol USBHID then had to replace the default USB driver that was assigned to it on my windows 10 PC with a slightly different one... now when i connect and turn on, i see the controller under devices and printers (push windows +r then type in control printers).

If you follow the Liftoff-Windows-10-Reinstall-Remote-USB-Driver_0.pdf , it should get you going... in my case, for step 9, i had to uninstall device, then restart, then it started working.....

This browser does not support PDFs. Please download the PDF to view it: Download PDF

Hope this helps a bit. I spent most of yesterday figuring this out and reading forums.

According to Fanatics executive director Michael Rubin, the company has halted production of jerseys entirely, instead re-focusing a staff of 100 social-distanced employees on making masks and gowns from jersey materials. They will be donated to hospitals and emergency management personnel in Pennsylvania with plans to expand to the New York City region, which has become the epicenter of the outbreak.

Celebrities can’t stop wearing these face masks that don’t stick to your face

By now you probably have a plethora of fabric face masks to wear every day — whether it’s for running errands, traveling on a bus or plane or working out. Face masks are the new normal of 2020 and will most likely be a necessity through 2021, too. Jacksonville Jaguars Face Masks

The combination of the over-the-ear construction combined with an adjustable Velcro backstrap design allows for a customized, secure fit and all-day comfort. The patented multi-layer construction wicks moisture from the mouth and evaporates to the outer layer, while the adjustable nose bridge provides a custom fit and seal around the nose. The filter of the mask is replaceable, and the mask is reusable. The mask can be washed and dried, and the material has an inherent memory retention due to its wrap knit fabrication versus the polyester or woven materials of the competition.

"We are extremely excited about the launch of the Python Face Mask and the Splash Shield as technology continues to drive our products at Schutt Sports," Stutts added. "We need all sports and activities to resume to the new normal in today's world. By creating these new products, we are hoping that the new normal will occur sooner versus later." NFL Face Coverings Sales

According to NFLPA medical director Thom Mayer, the league is working with Oakley to develop different face shields that might provide added protection for players. That includes a potential full mask instead of just a face shield, and it includes a mask that has surgical or N95 materials, Mayer said on Adam Schefter’s podcast.

“That’s a possibility,” Mayer told Schefter regarding the potential use of surgical material on football facemasks. “Back in early March I had suggested that we should consider novel and emerging ways to handle the helmets and the facemasks and the spread of the virus. And these guys, the bioengineers that we use and that the league uses — Oakley, as you may or may not know, does all the face visors for the league under contract — these guys got the bit between their teeth.” NFC Teams Face Masks

They are made of 3 layers which serve different purposes. The outer hydrophobic non-woven layer is intended to repel water, blood, and body fluids. The middle melt-blown layer which is the key piece of a surgical mask is designed as the filter to stop germs from entering or exiting the mask. Lastly, the inner soft absorbent non-woven layer is intended to absorb water, sweat, and saliva. These masks are the most affordable and recommended to wear if you are feeling unwell and or around people that might be unwell. It is prudent also to wear when you are likely to be in close proximity to people. These are disposable masks and typically worn between 3 to 8hours per day.

Is deviationtx DEAD?

Category: Feedback & Questions

For me my multiple Devo10 Transmitters are still the daily drivers and I use them since many years. One is now weard out and I need to retire it or use it as workbench test gear only. In general this are very solid built transmitters and upgraded with the 4in1 TX module very capable. I mostly use DSMX and FrSky receivers. But actually also have a Jumper T16 and T18 to start with. To be able contribute to deviation you need the skills, the interest and the hardware to test the new protocol. Many of the toy protocols have not too much distribution and there are likely not so much real deviation users for them. So the interest is kind of limited. We also need to be aware the actual firmware in some cases is getting very tight for the given hardware (i.e. memory) and adding a lot of protocols will only work with rework of the existing code (like the modularization for the Devo7). You can still buy Devo transmitters but likely this is not the first choice if someone who is looking for a new one if you are not a deviation fanboy. If there is a valid contribution the actual deviation team is very responsive to get this merged in.

Is deviationtx DEAD?

Category: Feedback & Questions

I have seen several messages saying something on those lines, I personally don't think is dead, but rather slow.

Does any of the admins have some info?

PS: I have been experimenting with adding bounties to issues and that has been a nice alternative to keep projects alive -> www.bountysource.com/teams/portapack-mayhem so maybe an alternative to revitalize the project is to start asking factories using deviationtx to contribute a small % for founding bounties.

Oh I was tired :)
(....as with the UART 5 audio output )XD
The t8sg is powering the module bay always too?
I see that there are four available output. (PC12 is the audio output I think)
Then it would be a useful development I think.
I hope someone on the development team hears our request :)
Please add this feature to code.
Thanks!

Hi Fernandez,
Thank you your reply. I thinkig that too. The version A is my favorit ;) . This is the most clean version I think. I dont know witch method use the crsf for module powering. That runnig all time?
Someone on developing team can make an "enabling" pin for us, ( aka uart5 voice output)? Or it is more difficult?
Thanks buddies!

Jumper T8SG V2 Plus and Crossfire

Would someone kindly post complete and EXACT processes with connecting T8SG V2 Plus and crossfire micro tx please.
From start, to finish including this so-called "hardware mod" (if it's necessary) which no one here directly links to.
Simply plugging in the crossfire module brings ZERO results and also no power going to the crossfire micro tx, in my case.
The module works if I plug in USB, then LED lights and breaths.
***Giving me a link to a video showing it working for someone else doesn't really provide a solution. (thanks for Nix Team Blacksheep)
Thanks in advance!

According to him you have to use t8sg-V2 firmware, but what version?
Could you send the file you use in your jumper carbon?

Yup I am also a deviation fanboy, one firmware to contain also the rf protocols via SPI, to be truly "open TX" it is the future.

Although Open Tx team, has also implemented plenty of good stuff devaiating can learn from.
-Lua scripts
-Control external equipments as vtx
-detection of telemetry sensors and nice vieuw and use that info.

Thank you for tracking us.

The recent activity is around refectoring our code to make our code more modular. The refectoring work helps us to import the support for RadioLink At10 and Jumper T12. If you look closely, the folder structure is changed. we abstract out the drivers from the original code. When we need support a new Tx, we can just pick and choose the drivers we have to avoid writing new code.

Besides that, We are also working on swiching our usb stack from ST one to libopencm3 one in order to reduce the ROM size.

We are still using forum to communicate with the community. And many discussions in the dev team are happened on issues of github. Feel free to submit the issue and user voice there as well. github.com/DeviationTX/deviation/issues

Replacing long text with short sentences looking at the emulator.
Currently, Japanese users are asked to check the operation.
With this, Japanese users are very interested in Deviation and it seems to be one of the standard transmitters.
In Japan, transmitters such as FrSky Taranis can not be used under the Radio Law. Recently T8SG V2 Plus has been processed and made available.

Thank you, Deviation team.

Trust me...you can't read the chip labels...

I think it would be a blessing to all the folks that like this drone to have an open tx option; and I'm not at all pleased with the fact that the maker has gone to some lengths to disguise the chips.

Taken together, these points make this easy...shoot me an address and I'll drop ship the boxed drone to the dev team.
