I have also been thinking about this. As when I have R9M inside my radio, as soon as it is powered it will transmit, even if it does not receive PXX.
So If I select other protocol just 2.4ghz, my r9m is still transmitting it is very annoying as I do not want to disconnect take out my module.
A) Actually when selecting PXX protocol we need, an output pin to be high so r9 module voltage can be powerd on via a mosfet. (R9 enable pin)
Alternatively you could just make a switch at the back of your tx to power on and of R9 if you need, but it is not elegant solution.
C) possibly you could use a mosfet with an RC network at the GATE, making a delay hold switch, (few seconds) As soon as PXX or any pulses detected at the R9 module Rx input, the mosfet powers on the R9 and holds power until RX pulse stream stops.

Hi Fernandez,
Thank you your reply. I thinkig that too. The version A is my favorit . This is the most clean version I think. I dont know witch method use the crsf for module powering. That runnig all time?
Someone on developing team can make an "enabling" pin for us, ( aka uart5 voice output)? Or it is more difficult?
Thanks buddies!

It should not be the voice pin as we use that. U7E 256 is almost the same as the Jumper TGSG V2plus

Oh I was tired
(....as with the UART 5 audio output )XD
The t8sg is powering the module bay always too?
I see that there are four available output. (PC12 is the audio output I think)
Then it would be a useful development I think.
I hope someone on the development team hears our request
Please add this feature to code.
Thanks!

So, I know this thread is dated. However wanted to find out if voice mod is now in the main repository, or do we need a custom build?
I just finished by u7e, installed the dfplayer, but no sound.
