thanks for your prompt response HH,

No I didn't use telemetry...

Range should not be the cause as the first case happened just about 20 feet from me and I can clearly see my copter's led flashing warning.. and the same set up has once been running up to 1500 meters without a single glitch ..

Sure I will try out the latest version...

thanks again for your good work

Cmpang did you do the switch mod to both your devo7E ?

I'm wondering if this behavior isn't related to the antenna of the CYRF module, when the board is flipped it puts some strain on the antenna's soldering point.

On mine it seems that the central wire is almost broke, I experienced also a lost of control with my MQX board, the motor just have gone full throttle, only a power cycle of the transmitter stopped it. It's a chance I fly on a underground parking lot, if not I would have lost it. I have to admit I'm still on ac641d3 nightly from 2014-02-10.

But maybe it's just an issue with how the CYRF module is handled, PB wrote about some new code for the CYRF handling. Maybe these issues are solved on the latest ones, I'm just waiting for Pb to upgrade the code to support the multi-module to upgrade. I use my devo10 for the moment latest build and no issues so far...

like I mentioned earlier there were updates to the devo protocol due to this thread here > www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...t-binding-mid-flight

which was also about devo signal loss, but this was attributed to using telemetry. if we all upgrade to the latest build and then report back if there are any more dropouts and if there are we can do some farther testing and then submit a bug report if we find an issue :)

Yes I have done the 3way switch mod a long time ago..

done the upgrade to the latest version now.. just wait and see if it happened anymore...

FYI,I have been using Deviation V3 and Gale's version (which I suppose to be a straight implementation of PB's protocol) for over a year now with probably over 1000 sorties and have never come across lost bind ... may be you like to check the current coding with the previous version to find out the clue..

thx.

Many flights since updated to the latest build and no loss lock so far.. will keep using it for now..

One thing I noticed today is when my battery goes down to 3.89V (I have been using 1S for my 7e for over a year), the Tx seems not going to save any setting changes I made. At times, it display a message saying that "battery too low to save".

Is that a safeguard measure build in the coding? I have never went into problem when I used the Gale version as long as the battery keep above 3.5V

Yes it is built-into the code.
It is set by target_defs.h DEFAULT_BATTERY_CRITICAL

You can change it by manually editing your tx.ini to add:
batt_critical = 3500
at the top of the file (Value is measured in mV)

ok update time again, sadly the time has come to start disabling some of the extra enabled items due to lack of space on the 7e, trying to build with everything enabled takes us over the maximum by ~300bytes which is most likely due the the extra code added to deal with the new multi module board.

so i have disabled the permanent timer for this build as this isn't something i use personally, but if other people would prefer to have the perm timer enabled and turn off telemetry, or the screen editor, or i can turn off support for the multi module board itself? let me know and i'll build what the majority want.

as usual the new build is in the first post, and enjoy your rc adventures :)

The time is come, that I have to finally set my building environment, as I prefer the permanent timer to telemetry and specially layout editor.

Thanks for your builds HH :D

no worries guys, but like I always say the thanks should go to PB and the guys that do the difficult work as what I do is nothing in comparison to them :)

to anyone who downloads these builds, I'm still open to suggestions on what features to enable or disable, I'm a firm believer in democracy so majority rules, so it's time to speak up in the next week or so if you have an interest in which way I go :)

I'm puzzled, how many times do you guys really use the layout editor ?

I used it once, and then found Waldo's layout file and never touched the layout editor anymore...

Do you redo your screen, every time, you have a new model ?

I find knowing the total time that I've flown a model more interesting than moving some boxes around the screen.

Not being cocky here, just intrigued.

I really like the layout editor and find myself using it a lot. That is something I would miss but I could do without it. I can always use the emulator with an older build to change layouts.

I can easily live without telemetry...

A day without flying can't be called a day.
