PB, my last steps:

1. Unpack source code archive into empty 'deviation' catalog
2. 'make TARGET=devo12'
3. Flash lib dfu
4. all fonts missing
5. 'make distclean'
6. 'make TARGET=devo12'
7. Flash lib dfu
8. All OK.

Next pass
1. Unpack source code archive into empty 'deviation' catalog
2. 'make distclean'
3. 'make TARGET=devo12'
4. Flash lib dfu
5. all fonts missing
6. 'make distclean'
7. 'make TARGET=devo12'
8. Flash lib dfu
9. All OK.

lib dfu always has the same size 2 098 485.

I had this too - might be a too low battery warning level (Devo8 works with higher voltage). Standard for Devo12 should be 3.80V.

I noticed something, but is very minor issue:

When I touch the screen, the battery voltage indication drops about 0.1 Volt (100 mV). Is this real or is this a mistake?

The "Bleeberdebeep" I mentioned before was because of the default setting of the TX battery alarm. After reducing that to 3.8, is gone.

I have a drop in the range of 0.03 to 0.04V - seems normal to me as I have seen it all the time.

Yep, that voltage drop has been around since the beginning. I've been flying deviation on my 12s for 6 months now and never had a problem.

PB, is it possible to add more files in the layout folder? Will it scan for files that are there or only the default and blank?

Thanks

Awesome, thanks.

One last request from me... (for now)

I would love to see an empty text box object that we could add text to based on an input.

For example, a large box that I can enter text like GEAR, and have it fill in (or change) the text when I hit the gear switch.

Or HOLD etc.. what ever text we want. I know that it will be up to the user to make sure the text fits, but we're all big boys around here right? ;)

Maybe even we could select if we want the background color to be red?

Could be used for any custom text lable we want, but some ideas might be;

FLAPS
STUNT 1
ELEVON MIX ON <- might in a small box

Again.. whatever we want.

Yep, that would be the same like custom toggles.

Not sure if this is the right place to report this bug, but let's go:

I have some old receivers working on DSM2. When I change the protocol to DSM2, even though mode is Mode2, it changes to mode 1 and the channels are mixed up. During startup I get the message "Channel 1 not -100%" (or similar).

When I change back to Devo protocol, all is fine.

Looks like something is going wrong here.

That isn't a bug. Deviation doesn't automatically redefine the channel outputs after changing the protocol. You need to change the channel assignments or read one of the templates.

I am not planning to add the ability to show user specifIed text anytime soon. Sorry. Besides requiring a lot of ram to store the strings, it would require significant interface changes to make itreasonably useful. I have two items left in my list to do, then it'll be time to stabilize for the next release

I just accidentally erased a bargraph again trying to edit it or scroll down to the next one. The delete button is still too close to things. Maybe we can make the delete buttons smaller, or add a cancel button......

I know you only have to layout the screen once, but if you want to edit your bargraphs to show a different ch for a special reason, you may end up haveing to place a new bargraph or replace the one you accidentaly deleted at the field.

Its much better being able to test the layout on the real thing. Im finding that its alot different than working the emu with a mouse and keyboard.

I've decided to do a complete model setup that will contain my advanced layout for 12s. It would be easy to delete the thing you dont need and keep things consistant between models. I'll try to post it later tonight.

Loving it.........

Great work to all those involved.

I noticed on the mixer screen it does not mention the switches assigned in the complex mode. On the emulator it does.

Yes, you're right. Sorry for that. I do my best to find bugs, but cannot find them.... :silly:

Doesn't really looks like a bug, but I noticed this:

1) I have 4 toggles and move them around
2) I move toggle1 behind the "Model" by mistake
3) I click on model, toggle1 disappears behind the model
4) I select 1 of the other toggles and press "Enter"
5) I press OK
6) Toggle1 becomes visible above Model

But when I press on toggle1, model gets selected.

The only way to move toggle one from behind model is to move model away, move toggle1 to the place where it should be, move model back into place.

Not a very big deal, but maybe the toggle should become selectable after step 6).

There is a virtual machine already prepared:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/how-to/1200-vm...-compiling-deviation

Or you can wait a few more <insert time scale here> until my replacement for DFuse is ready. That will allow you to update the devo12 filesystem much like the devo8. Of course I have no idea when I'll get back to working on it.

Isn't it a much easier solution to create a folder named "Custom". Here, users can put their home made model icons, toggles, backgrounds, etc. This will take far less space as the media directory.

If touch main screen, to the right from battery voltage I can see remainder of 'V' letter. In case if voltage in time of touch has more wide numerals:
"4.03V 14:57" -> "4.15V/ 14:57"
